JG 53 is always looking for new
members. So if you are looking for a WarBirds' squadron, which takes honor in trying to be
as authentic as possible, emulating historical tactics, concentrating on Scenario
Lites and the no-Icon Historical Arena, flying various Messerschmitt
Bf109 models, then this might be the right unit for you.
JG 53 doesn't stop with Warbirds, if you are interested in the history of W.W.2,
especially the Jagdwaffe, then you can't go wrong. Many of our members gather on ICQ,
discussing tactics, history and all aspects of aerial warfare.
Last, but certainly not least, is our JG 53 T.O.D. Score System
(TM Spades & Vati, 1998). We've created a system, which follows your exploits as a JG
member over a year's time. The system has been based on the score system that was actually
used by the Luftwaffe in the West (approx. 1941), having been slightly adjusted with
Warbirds in mind. We are very proud of this system, as it will be very hard to reach the
highest awards, as it should be, while still being fun for all, awarding both survival and
teamwork. You'll see no list of multiple Experten here, but you'll be double as proud of
your achievements, as team play is rewarded, not only individual success.

We only
ask your regular attendance and an active involvement in squad life, so don't feel
intimidated by our quest for historical accuracy, as with only a few restraints we cater
for almost all Warbirds enthusiasts.
Our 2./JG 53 flying time of Sunday 14:00 EDT/19:00GMT (20:00CET),
makes us a prime candidate for those who like Scenario Lites and the Historical Arena, and
especially for players living in Europe, who have less choice when it comes to WarBirds
squadrons.
Feel free to try us out, you can contact us directly via e-mail, or join us during a
Luftwaffe SL, where we always welcome players to join our unit.
